Cultural Activities

Our life is formed in a cultural structure. There are so many norms, rituals, traditions and customs which are meaningful for us to follow to go in line with our culture. When it is a school it too has different traditions. Since we are in a multi-cultural society where languages, religions and communities are unlike, our students need to learn to respect this multicultural atmosphere. They are privileged to witness to this truth as there are a lot of activities conducted related to culture. Religious activities, aesthetic activities, language activities are means to create that unity among the students.

A true religion cannot bring dividedness into the life. It should radiate freedom of choice. Thereby all our religious activities need to touch the depth of one’s inner life. Respecting all religions, our students gather together to celebrate Holy Mass, feast of our lady Christmas carols, and decorate classrooms with vesak lanterns. May procession which is one of the traditional religious activities become a bridge to relationship among the Angelians.

As every human being has a rhythm of life it is very much intrinsic to a tune to the artistic views, imaginations and pulses of life. Teachers in charge of Music, art and Dancing have a great role to play with the lives of the students. Their inborn talents are to be refined by teachers. Holy Angels’ Girls are very elegant and perform their talents in a spirit of serenity.
